I am looking for information concerning the death of my relative, Lawson Satterfield Todd. Research shows that he died in Honey Grove, Texas in 1888. Any information concerning this death would be greatly appreciated as all I have is the year. Thanks so much.

I recently learned of Mr. Dorris's mill and of his marriage to Mary C. Elizer, daughter of James B and Mary Garrett Elizer. Mary Garrett was a sister to my husband's greatgrandmother, Susan Garrett Ackerman.
Fascinating story about Mr. Dorris going to Texas.

My great grandfather, Elisha Allen Dorris, was reported to have lived in Honey Grove, Tx during the period of 1850 - 1854 where he learned the skills of a millwright. He returned to his home in Gallatin, Sumner, Tennessee and established a very successful lumber and flour milling enterprise.

He was born in 1827, his father was Josiah Frost Dorris; his wife was Mary Elizer.

Does anyone have any historical records of Honey Grove during that period to source his presence there during that period. I wonder why he would ride a mule that far to learn a trade?

Hello My Uncle Frank was Franklin Young Martin born 30 Jan 1897 in Honey Grove, Fannin, Texas he married Eva Vaun Osburn in 1932. They lived & died and are buried in Lamesa, Dawson, Texas. I am looking for info on his parents William Franklin Martin 1868-1947 & Belle Zora or Bellizia Collins 1877-1962. I have a wonderful picture of Uncle Frank & one of his brothers with the words Honey Grove Texas on the bottom that I will share. Is there a genealogy Society in Honey Grove ? Thank You Caroll Osburn Zerkle P O Box 85 Pahrump, Nevada 89041
